Port Isabel: start with the lighthouse
Begin on the mainland. Visit the lighthouse grounds and, if available and suitable for your group, climb for a different perspective. Look around the surrounding area before crossing the causeway.
Make Sea Turtle, Inc. the next planned stop. A conservation visit adds context to the beach outside. Do not plan the day around a hatchling release unless the organization has confirmed one.
If conditions are suitable, enjoy a beach walk or an appropriate supervised swim. Alternatively, choose the Birding and Nature Center. You do not need to do both to have a worthwhile day.
